Brandyn Thompson Promoted

November 30, 2011

Thompson was added to the 53-man roster today for the fourth time after the Redskins released cornerback Dominique Johnson. Thompson played his college ball at Boise State.

Thompson, at 5’10” and 177lbs., has appeared in just two games for the redskins this season. He was active for three others.

“It’s all new to me, so I just try to take it as it comes,” Thompson said about all the roster moves. “I just try to go out there, work hard and do what I do best – and that’s play football. I have faith that the rest of it will take care of itself.”

Filling Thompson’s slot on the practice squad is 5’11” 205 lb. Travon Bellamy. Bellamy is a native of Greenbelt, MD and played college ball at Illinois from ’06-’10. He went undrafted this past April.
